Looking for Graphic Artist/Designer to join The Gazette in Colorado

The Gazette, a Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper in Colorado Springs, is looking to add a part-time graphic artist/designer to its presentation team. This position could possibly turn into a full-time role, based on your expertise and work experience.

The Gazette’s new graphic artist/designer will take the lead in producing detailed maps, infographics and illustrations for all printed sections produced by the newsroom. Your hard work also will show up online, so a focus on how your creative ideas will translate to a digital presentation will be crucial. This person will be required to layout and design news and advance sections, when needed. You MUST be an expert in InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator. Knowledge in DTI pagination is a plus.

Everyone in our newsroom wears several hats and takes on multiple projects. You will be expected to manage a heavy workload while completing assignments on a tight deadline.
