We're hiring in Boulder to gear up for the Denver Post

Digital First Media's design hub in Boulder, Colorado, is expanding.  We're looking for experienced News and Sports Designers. We've recently brought on board the St. Paul Pioneer Press and we will be bringing the Denver Post into the design hub in late spring.

You'll have the opportunity to work on some major metros as well as dailies along Colorado's gorgeous Front Range. We're looking for  savvy designers with a portfolio that shows your skills.

Qualifications:

We're a match if you have daily newspaper experience and a strong portfolio.   You have a deep understanding of page design, layout and typography, a creative flair for headlines and a good knowledge of grammar, punctuation and AP style. You enjoy working as part of a collaborative, creative team and have great people and customer-service skills, even under deadline pressure.  A Bachelor's in journalism is a huge plus. Recent college grads with a strong portfolio and a page design/editing internship at a daily newspaper are also encouraged to apply.

Work schedule is mostly evenings and with some weekend hours and also some holidays.
