I’ve been in the newspaper industry for about 24 years in two countries, Mexico (Excelsior & Media Comunicación) and the United States (La Raza newspaper, Tribune’s Spanish weekly Exito and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, as well as Gannett’s Rockford Register Star in Illinois and The News-Press in Florida). I've held several positions at these newspapers, including photographer, assistant features editor, designer, graphics editor, art director and photo editor. My current position at The News-Press is Assistant Managing Editor for Multimedia, Photo, Graphics, and Design.

I'm currently SND Diversity Director and Assistant professor at the Florida Gulf Coasting University teaching Media design
