About me

I'm the presentation editor at the Daytona Beach News-Journal and the art director for MyCoast Magazine. Since I joined the staff in 2011, I led the redesign of the paper and worked on a team to implement a new content management system. I also came up with the nameplate for MyCoast Magazine and The Daytona Beach News-Journal. I was previously the Hub Editor in charge of the regional "hub" copy desk for Florida Freedom Communications in Panama City, Fla. I worked at the Northwest Florida Daily News before that, and I got my start at the Albany Herald in Albany, Ga. I graduated with a journalism degree from Auburn University in 2003.
