- About me
- At the GateHouse Center for News and Design, we strive to create an environment where creative design works with in-depth journalism to inform and entertain readers. My job is to do all that I can to make that possible. With degrees in journalism and philosophy (The University of Memphis) and a master's degree in journalism design (The University of Missouri, Columbia), my passion revolves around strong visual storytelling. I believe that good design creates an environment in which readers want to spend time, regardless of the format.Before joining the design center in Austin, I worked at the Asbury Park Design Studio (2011-2015 -- Deputy Director; Creative Director), Rochester Democrat and Chronicle (2005-2011 -- Assistant Design Editor; Creative Manager) and The Daily Advertiser in Lafayette, Louisiana (1998-2005).
