About me

I graduated from Drake University in 2007 and spent the next four years at The Gazette in Colorado Springs, Colo., as a sports copy editor and designer. I also shot video for high school sports, wrote the occasional story and ran a fantasy sports blog.

In August 2011, I moved back to Des Moines to work in the then-new Design Studio. In the studio I worked on The Des Moines (Iowa) Register, Iowa City Press Citizen, Sioux Falls (S.D.) Argus Leader, Springfield (Mo.) News-Leader, St. Cloud (Minn.) Times and Appleton (Wis.) Post-Crescent.

Since then I have transitioned out of journalism and into the marketing and communications field.
