After a very busy first day in my new job in Victoria, I was thrown into a major four-part series detailing a woman who had been held captive by the Japanese in the Philippines during World War II. She had survived, moved to Victoria, aided five kids and died a couple of months before. The superb Jennifer Lee Preyss wrote and I kicked off the series with this front-page display. Dec. 7, 2014.
