I don't get my hands dirty much anymore, but I had some ideas and ran with 'em. The paper's often a two-story front with one photo — no briefs or teasers — and that square ARK logo is actually just part of a layered banner that usually stretches across the page. So we just kinda randomly introduced a slew of changes (along with planned sentence-case headlines and new byline styles) in one swoop, much of them far earlier than expected. Not sure whether I'm making the staff or the readers more nervous.
