NASA chose which proposals it intends to fund for the next generation of manned space vehicles. One of the three -- SpaceX -- is based in Hawthorne, just up the freeway from us. I decided to introduce readers to the new fleet. This was some of the most intense rendering I did over my two years in California. It took me only a couple of hours to compile the text but more than a full day to draw the three spacecraft.
