I had done the British burning of Washington, but there was one other major event of the War of 1812 still worthy of note: The unsuccessful bombardment of Baltimore's Fort McHenry and the writing of a poem that would eventually become our National Anthem. This page ran the day before the 200th anniversary of the rockets' red glare.
