The PISCO SOUR was created from the Whiskey Sour that had EGG WHITE and Angostora Bitter as well....
Would you please remove the ARTICLE of the BAR REGISTRY as well from your GRAPHICS as it is the @copyright of Morris Family in whole and can not be used with out permission. There has been a CEASE And DESIST placed on the HISTORIAN - (Guillermo Toro-Lira) on 2/1/10 from using ANY and ALL articles from the MORRIS FAMILY including PHOTOS of the BAR REGISTRY.....Thank you..

Saludos señores,

Con respecto a una acotación proveniente de la misma familia Morris sobre la infografía sobre el Pisco Sour que publiqué en febrero de este año, me remito a comunicar las aclaraciones del caso.

Nunca se nombra en la infografía publicada en el diario El Peruano a un co-inventor del Pisco Sour. Solo se habla de un solo inventor, como así lo mencionara mi fuente informativa, el historiador Guillermo Toro-Lira.

La propia señora Donna Morris, me hace recordar un dato que no pude publicar en la infografía del Pisco Sour por razones de espacio (pido mil disculpas por eso):

“En la ceremonia de Inauguración por el aniversario de la independencia del Perú, el 28 de Julio de 1904, hubo un evento realizado con motivo de la llegada del tren número 100 a la estación de Cerro de Pasco. Habían asistido 5,000 personas. Los invitados de honor fueron el Alcalde Buena Ventura y el superintendente de la Compañía Minera Cerro de Pasco.
Víctor Vaughen Morris fue el maestro de ceremonias y el encargado de preparar las bebidas que invitó a los concurrentes. A falta de whisky, para preparar el Whisky Sour, VVM reemplazó el licor por el Pisco del Perú y lo combinó con el limón peruano causando admiración por su delicioso sabor entre el público presente.”

Según esta información ya no tendríamos dudas de que fué en estas circunstancias como aconteció el nacimiento del Pisco Sour.

No existe un co-inventor del Pisco Sour, como así lo afirma el diario El Comercio en su página web. El único inventor del mundialmente famoso cocktail fue Víctor Vaughen Morris, quien llevó su propia receta a su bar creado 11 años después en Lima (1915).

Mario Bruiget fue un empleado bartender de Morris. Él modificó la receta y la llevó a otro bar cuando el Bar Morris cerró sus puertas.

NEVER Was there a CO-INVENTOR ~
On July 28,1904 the 83rd Anniversary of the Independence of Peru Ceremony and the Inauguration of Train #100 to arrive in Cerro de Pasco. There were 5,000 people in attendance. Distinguished guest such as Mayor Buena Ventura and James McFarlane (superintendent of C.P Mining Company.)
Victor Vaughen Morris was the host of ceremonies.With a shortage of whiskey he continued preparing the Whiskey Sour cocktail with a Peruvian Pisco.

Which created the World famous PISCO SOUR.
