Local folks have no way of finding out what chemicals are stored nearby their homes, schools or workplaces. A huge series kicked off Sunday. This map compiled by data journalist Matt Dempsey and styled by me shows sites in the metro area with “potential for harm.” The darker grey areas around the edges of the map shows where local emergency planning officials were unable to supply data. I find all this terrifying.
