A reader suggested this topic and I immediately became intrigued: I've never seen a really good diagram showing crude oil pipelines. Most of the maps I found online showed pipelines that moved oil after it was refined. I was able to fold in the proposed Keystone XL pipeline, a bit about train traffic -- remember the big oil train crash earlier this year in Canada -- and the recent story about oil production climbing. A perfect storm of great material, plus yet another great piece of lead art from Wikimedia Commons. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013.
