It's not even primary season, yet noted political pundits Larry Sabato and Nate Silver were already telling us how badly the Democrats were going to do in the Midterm elections in November. But, in fact, sitting presidents and their parties nearly always do poorly in Midterms. I thought it might be time to quantify that and to show exceptions to the rule.
