I wanted to do something cool on this far-fetched plan. I found a great San Jose Mercury News graphic, but the renderings in it didn't fit what I wanted to do. I downloaded the lengthy PDF proposal, used the official rendering as lead art and then drew my own little line drawings for the rest. My favorite part is the intro copy. I've been working hard to make my copy modern and lively and appealing to a younger audience. It's not often I can work in references to Gru and the "Despicable Me" movies. Aug. 14, 2013.
