I wanted to do something on Guantanamo but I didn't want to get into the silly politics of it. Of the detainees being held there -- 166 -- 86 of them, or more than half were actually scheduled to be transferred or released. So I built the big person-by-person diagram and then scrounged for material to fill in around that. The timeline and map came from MCT graphics. I'm liking their stuff quite a bit, as long as I have the freedom to rework everything and twist it around to accentuate the visual drama. May 14, 2013.
