The Long Beach Register was asking for help with their Sunday Focus pages. I couldn't scrape up enough time to help them out as much as I'd have liked, but I did manage to throw together this "bonus" piece explaining the origins of the names of the four man-made islands in San Pedro Harbor. The middle part of this page echoed a graphic I built years ago for the Virginian-Pilot on the Apollo 1 disaster. April 20, 2014
