Among the things the Fair Labor Standards Act gave us: The minimum wage, the seven-day work week and an end to child labor. But the fight for these things was very long (22 years) and very difficult. Roosevelt's infamous "court packing" idea was a direct result of the battle over labor reform. I painstakingly compiled a timeline, clotted a number of revisions and tweaks over the years and charted what's become of minimum wage since then. Oct. 24, 2013.
