I’m a pretty big Beach Boys fan, but most people don’t know the background behind Brian Wilson’s gorgeous “Pet Sounds” album. What I didn’t know — until I began my research — was that Bob Dylan’s “Blonde on Blonde” album was released the same day as was “Pet Sounds.” That turned an interesting “did you know” piece into almost a compare and contrast thing.
