Not long after we ran a story about an insurance company that said tornadoes, lightning and floods are rare in this area, we had a giant flood — 12th worst in the town’s history — a man struck by lightning and a number of funnel clouds spotted over the area. My editor asked me to build a primer on Tornadoes. It’s a topic I’ve covered many, many times over the years. This time, I tried to put a local spin (sorry) on it.
