The A1 editor and I didn't want to use more dry crops or dry lake beds for a main image -- we'd done that for the previous several weeks. So we combed through the wires and came up with a graphic-type presentation to describe drought conditions in other parts of the country. While we did end up using dry crops and dry lake beds, they were smaller.
