The Mobile Innovations Team, which recently launched the Washington Post’s new tablet, mobile and Apple Watch apps, is adding to its team of talented designers. This new staffer will work across our suite of products to produce bold experiences for our readers.

We are looking for a top-notch visual journalist with experience in a fast-paced and live news environment. Familiarity with web production and managing your work across platforms is encouraged, but not required. We are looking for a person who can think differently about how we deliver journalism for new, national audiences. Strong typography and conceptual illustration skills are key to this position.

It is also essential that this person be a team player who is excited about the future of news across tiny and big screens. It also will help to have a spirit of adventure, as we’ll be experimenting with new approaches on evolving and emerging platforms. This position will also likely require night and weekend work.
