JOB OPPORTUNITY: Newspaper/Website Designer at 451 Marketing

We are a Boston-based agency seeking a senior designer to join our team for the exciting redesign of a newspaper website. Our client is one of the nation’s leading publishers of locally-focused print and digital media and seeks to update and modernize its online presence.

 

Previous experience working in a fast-paced publishing environment with a solid portfolio is a must. College degree in graphic design or visual communications preferred. Must have solid portfolio of publication design (print and online) and in particular, newspaper and news media website design. Candidate must be knowledgeable in AP Style. Must be able to work nights and weekends; holidays as required. Preferably 10+ years in the business required but will consider based on portfolio and experience.

 

This is a contract-based position with a fixed project fee. Although the senior designer is not required to live in the Boston area, they will be required to attend meetings in Boston at 451 Marketing and at the client’s location.  

 

Initial engagement will be August 18th to January 1^st, 2016. A second engagement may be offered for phase two of the project January 2016 through June 2016.
