About me

My name is Kevin and I am a 40 year old Male from Manchester England.

I live in an area of Manchester that is suffering from a high level of child poverty, long term unemployment,social exclusion and a breakdown of community.
One of the reasons that make it hard for local people to get out of this situation, I feel is a lack of connection or ownership that exsists amoungst us. We have lost nearly all our community meeting spaces where people talk to one another and our local newspaper which was once our only source of Information was purchased by a mainstream media group and discontinued. I hope to rebuild community in my area by providing a local paper online with the intention of making a printed version only my skills are very limited at present and hope that the members @ newspaperdesign.org will allow me to learn new skills to help provide a better more attractive newspaper and also have benifits that reach futher a field than just myself thanks Kevin Harpurhey Huddle
