Page Designers NEEDED in Austin, TEXAS!

Aerotek is currently hiring a Page Designer / Copy Editor on a full-time direct placement opportunity here in the Austin, TX area. This candidate will be working with our client who is one of the nation's largest publishers and is established in the Center of News & Design. The center is part of a long-term effort to offer a range of content services to its publications and to market those services to other media entities. The plan incorporates both print and digital components, in addition to new platforms in development.

This Page Designer will be responsible for using InDesign software and a centralized front-end system to layout and design newspaper pages from beginning to end. They will execute creative solutions and presentations, along with providing a final read on all copy submitted publications.

Our client is building a team of quality visual journalists and designers who can design eye-catching and compelling pages along with editing stories and sharpening headlines.

Design clips or links to online portfolios are required from all applicants.

The ideal candidate should have experience with:

• Proven line-editing
• Versed in Associate Press (AP Style)
• 1 to 4 years of layout software experience (preferably Adobe InDesign)
• 1 to 4 years of experience with digital publishing
• Must be comfortable with working on a MAC
• Experience in Magazine OR Newspaper Layout design.

CURRENT SHIFT IS- 4pm-12am 5pm-1am and 6pm-2am. Candidates need to be flexible to work 7 days a week.
